Bear Hunting at Tazin Lake Lodge

Bear hunting at Tazin is nothing short of amazing. Our first hunt was 2006, we hosted ten hunters for a spring hunt, and everyone filled their tag. Of the ten bears taken in 2006 two were blond.

With a bear population averaging 10 animals per square mile you can be assured of excellent trophy opportunities from your tree stand. The bear population at Tazin is not only plentiful it’s also unique for the numbers of color phases, blond, brown and cinnamon have all be taken.

This is a truly unique population of bears, one that we plan to manage very carefully to maintain its characteristics. As a result, Bear Hunts will only available every other season, 2008 being the next opportunity, unfortunately the ten spots for 2008 are filled. Now is the time to reserve your spot for the 2010 or 2012 hunts.

The other great part about bear hunting at Tazin is the fishing, and we’ve combined the two for the ultimate hunt/fish combo trip. Once you fill your bear tag your remaining days in camp can be spent chasing monster Lake Trout, Northern Pike and Walleye.
